In summary, I was in the Army Special Forces for 6 years where I studied my trade of Electronic Communications. When I left, I found my skills were transferable to building computer networks. I led a team that built the first Apple Campus corporate HQ network of 8,000 desktops. I worked at Southern Cal Edison where I was a Network Engineer.
I hired into Microsoft where I worked for 18 years.
During that time, I taught 3,000 Engineers the skills to improve their application’s performance and uptime. I was also very involved in developing and proposing new projects and sold a $90M project to Execs. I worked at GoDaddy for 10 years where I led many campaigns to improve quality across 300 product teams.
I found my leadership and personal communications skills were valuable assets in leading large groups of people and a large number of disparate projects to success. I discovered that I could work with new groups of people while coming up to speed on new projects and technology and that I had a good sense of judgement of people and principles.
